Last, but not least...

Now that you have listened to your classmates discuss their book in person and on the blog, decide which book you would like to read. Look around the classroom at the posters to help you decided. In the comments section below, list the book (it's ok if someone else has decided to read the same book), and the reasons why you want to read it.

This post is due by Jan 4!

  2. I would like to read the book "Send" because it seems like a very interesting story. I would like to learn more about the character Kenny and how he dealt with the tough moments in his life. How did he feel when he went to juvi? How does it feel to more to a different town and starting a completely new life? I think I would enjoy this book because it sounds similar to the Hunted Series by Walter Surrell. The main character in the Hunted Series also had to move from place to place with a new identity everywhere she went. I hope to check out and read this story soon.

  3. I would like to read "Half Brother" because it seems interesting. I want to know more about how the relationship between the family and the monkey evolves. I also would like to know more about how the family reacted to him joining and staying with them. This book looks informative and entertaining at the same time.

  4. I would like to read "Rot & Ruin". I've always been interested in post-apocalyptic stories but after reading "Eve", "Matched", and "Divergent" among other disappointing reads I stopped reading in that genre and I left with a bitter taste in my mouth. However, "Rot & Ruin" has an interesting summary about killing zombies to have full food rations. I wonder what kind of people a zombie world that forces teenagers to have jobs or starve makes. I'd like to read it because it brings a new setting that I'm curious to find out about.

  5. I would like to read the alchemist. I really liked the summary given by Alli during his speech. I don't know what it is about the book that I'm interested in, it's just that it sounds like a good and exciting story.

  6. I would like to read "My Book of Life by Angel" by Martine Leavitt because it can be connected to the real world. It doesn't sound made up because it's just that ineteresting. If read the book I would be bitting my nails all throughout the book. It just sounds so inetersting and I haven't read something like that in a long while. I'm just wondering what the main character will do when her pimp brings the little girl.

  10. I would like to read Katherina's book, "Eve", because it seemed really interesting. I could never imagine finding out that everything I had ever been taught was nothing more than a lie. I really found it intriguing. Imagine finding out those you trusted were ones that shouldn't be? Wow.

  15. If I were to read one of my classmates books, I would read Catherinas book "Eve." I would read it for a few reasons. One, she seemed really into the book, and I trust her judgement. Also, I knew about her book from the beginning when she told me about it, so I had prior knowledge and interest even before her speech. It just seems interesting. In addition to that, I value her opinion. If she likes a book, or anything for that matter, I'll take her word. I hope it's as good as she makes it seem. I'd love to find out how it ends too, and read it for myself.
